Managing Director
Jean Ford is the co-founder of Ford Webb Associates and its Managing Director, overseeing the firm’s operations, finance, technology and research functions, ensuring the effectiveness and quality that clients and candidates experience in every engagement.
She has extensive executive experience spanning government administration, management consulting and nonprofit leadership.
Background
Jean co-founded Ford Webb Associates and served as its President and Managing Director, shaping the firm’s culture, client relationships and operational foundation during its formative years. While continuing as Board Chair and strategic advisor, she stepped away from day-to-day leadership to serve as founding executive director of an arts and community center housed in a decommissioned elementary school. In that position she raised funds to replace the failed heating, lighting and accessibility systems, created a state-of-the-art ceramics studio and education center, transformed the old gym into a functioning theater and presentation space, and recruited more than 70 full-time resident artists. While in that position, Jean won the prestigious Excellence in Leadership Award from the Massachusetts Nonprofit Network, as well as local awards and recognition.
Previously Jean was a senior consultant at Arthur D. Little where she advised clients throughout the United States and Canada on research and technology strategy, project development, and the creation of centers of excellence and research incubators.
Earlier in her career, Jean worked as a social worker at Roxbury Crossing in Boston. She was one of five professionals selected statewide to receive funding for an MBA program. Following the completion of her MBA, she served as a senior executive in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Medicaid program.
Education and Perspective
Jean holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ohio Wesleyan University and an MBA from the Boston College Carroll School of Management.
